Apple has released the iOS 17.1 update with several changes

Apple has released iOS 17.1 for iPhone devices and iPadOS 17.1 for iPads to enhance performance and introduce new features to the system.

Regarding feature enhancements, Apple has improved the AirDrop feature by adding the ability to complete file transfers over the internet, allowing file transfers between devices when a fast connection is not available. They've also introduced new control options for the StandBy feature in iPhone 14 and 15 models.

The Music app has also seen improvements, now allowing users to add songs, albums, and playlists to their favorites and sort them in the audio library. Additionally, playlists display recommendations at the end based on their content.

The update also includes several fixes, such as reducing the electromagnetic radiation emitted from iPhone 12 devices to comply with French regulatory standards after an official request from French regulatory authorities.

The update addresses other issues as well, like occasional caller name display problems during calls and delayed keyboard responses. It also includes enhancements for the accident detection feature and screen time synchronization between different devices.

As for iPadOS 17.1, it adds support for the new Apple pencil that comes with a USB-C port.

You can download the new update by going to Settings, selecting General, then choosing Software Update, and finally downloading and installing it.
