Meta is promoting Threads posts within Facebook

The American company Meta has begun displaying posts from the social media platform Threads within Facebook to promote it. Users of Facebook have noticed Threads posts appearing in their news feeds as horizontal suggestions.

In response to this development, the company announced that it had released an update to display more Threads posts on Facebook and Instagram and is monitoring user feedback regarding this change. Currently, users cannot disable the display of these posts.

It's worth noting that Meta began displaying Threads posts on Instagram last August, and at that time, some users found this acceptable as the platform was considered an extension of Instagram.

However, this move has faced significant opposition from some Threads and Facebook users because they were unable to disable the display of these posts on other Meta-owned platforms.

Threads platform initially saw significant success, attracting over 100 million subscribers in less than a week. Over time, the number of active users and engagement levels declined significantly.

Meta is now seeking to revive the success of the Threads platform by promoting it across its major social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, as well as by adding new features such as post editing and keyword-based search.
