The Intel Core i9-14900KF processor breaks world records and reaches a frequency of 9 GHz

The Intel Raptor Lake CPU series was recently launched, and it didn't take long for overclockers to start breaking global records with this new generation.

Overclockers opted for the Core i9-14900KF CPU instead of the i9-14900K to enhance their overclocking capabilities.

The Core i9-14900KF features 24 cores and 32 threads, with a base clock speed of 3.2 GHz and the ability to boost its frequency to 6 GHz with Thermal Velocity Boost technology. It also includes a 36MB L3 cache and a 32MB L2 cache.

This version does not have integrated graphics and supports DDR5 and DDR4 memory. The CPU requires 125 watts of power and can have a maximum power consumption of 253 watts. The processor's price is $589.

The professional overclocking team, consisting of SkatterBencher, Elmor, Shamino, and Bing, collaborated to break world records using an ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore motherboard and a liquid helium cooling system. They managed to achieve a base clock frequency of 9043.92 MHz.

These results were recorded using the CPU-Z program and require official validation for recognition.

Another overclocking record was achieved with the Core i9-14900KF, reaching a frequency of 9.1 GHz, but official confirmation is still pending for this result to be included in the rankings.
