Twitch users can now stream simultaneously on other platforms

At the recent TwitchCon Las Vegas event, Twitch announced that content creators will be allowed to stream live content on other streaming services like TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook at the same time.

The Amazon-owned live streaming platform also shared some guidelines, stating that simultaneous streaming will be permitted as long as the user experience on Twitch remains unaffected.

The company also mentioned that unless a content creator has an exclusive agreement with the platform, they can stream their content on other websites. However, linking to external websites or directing viewers to them is not allowed.

Twitch also noted that content creators can use software to integrate chats or activities from other platforms, but these activities cannot be displayed on the stream.

While Twitch had been strict about multi-platform streaming in the past, this year, the company relaxed some of the rules, allowing users to share live content on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

Additionally, the streaming platform changed the name of the upcoming "Guest Star" feature to "Stream Together," making it easier for up to six content creators to collaborate during live streams. If you're not interested in video, there is also an audio-only mode that allows guests to join the chat without turning on their cameras.

In recent weeks, Twitch has introduced new features such as the option to prevent banned users from watching their streams and a feature somewhat similar to Instagram's Stories.
