Twitch adds a new Stories feature

Twitch has announced the availability of the Stories feature in its mobile app.

This feature is similar to features found on Snapchat, Instagram, and other social media platforms. Twitch's Stories allow streamers to share images, text, and videos that expire after 48 hours. This feature was first announced in July.

The ability to create Twitch Stories initially rolled out to partners and affiliates who had streamed at least once in the last 30 days. However, it will be made available to all users after updating the app to the latest version. Users can find these Stories at the top of the following page.

Access to this feature will be gradually granted to eligible users by the end of the week, with more content creators meeting the requirements.

Additionally, creators with at least 30 subscribers, including gifted subscriptions, can create Stories exclusively for subscribers. Twitch encourages using this feature to add value to their subscribers through exclusive content.

Twitch suggests using Stories for easier communication with followers, scheduling updates, and adding fun visual elements.

Notifications will be sent to followers when a streamer posts a Story, with control over notification settings for frequency.

At the same time, creators can see the total views and interactions for each Story they publish, even after it expires.
